What is our “Document Collection Service”?...

Our Document Collection Service provides images or transcriptions of documents requested by you that are held by NSW State Records.

We call it a collection service because sometimes the records you request are transcriptions from microfilm and sometimes we have to photograph original documents. Whatever the method, you will get a clear image of what is on the page.

Alas, sometimes the records themselves are damaged and we can’t do any better than the original record.

What we do for you...

All requests for information from NSW State Records are provided promptly and our prices are cheaper than you can get from State Records itself.

There’s more – we search records for you. That means we can search records that are available at State Records but which have not been indexed online. You get greater scope in the searches we undertake – State Records will only provide copies of records that have already been indexed.
